Floral Headband DIY

Okay, so you know those huge floral headpeices that are so "in" right now?  Well I adore them.  And I want one.  So, I went online to purchase one of those beauts and they are all pretty expensive...so, I said to myself "I can totally make that!" and I did.  Now, I may not have made it in the most fancy way, but it works and it's quick to make (plus, you get to choose whatever color you want!).  I originally was going to do a deep red color, but I fell in love with these cool lavender flowers.  I am going to make a deep red and black one soon.  Here's what I did:

Supplies = fake flowers, hot glue gun, scissors, and a headband (mine was satin, but I don't think it really matters)...First, cut the stem off the flowers completely.

Lay out the flowers around the headband before you glue to see where you want them placed.
Once you have them arranged how you want, put a blob (literally, a "blob") of hot glue in the place where you want to glue the flower.

When you glue them, make sure that you place the flowers facing slightly forward so they don't stick straight up.  You want them to frame the face.

And Viola!!  You now own a badass floral headband that probably cost about $10 to make at home...ya dig??  I do. :)

She's a Cruel Mistress

She's a cruel mistress and a bargain must be made.

floral crown - handmade by myself
cross necklace (gold) - Romwe
dress, skirt, belt - Forever 21
cross necklace (silver) - Nastygal
shoes - Jeffrey Campbell
bracelets - h&m, Edge Of Urge

For this look, I wanted to exude a creepy yet powerful woman.  A woman of whom people are afraid of, yet are drawn to.  I wanted to go for a more gothic vibe.  I absolutely adore this sheer lace dress I got from Forever 21.  I love layering this floral maxi skirt underneath it.  Oh yeah...and that gigantic floral crown?  I'm in love.  I made it the other day with fake flowers, a glue gun, and a satin headband.  I will post a tutorial for you soon.  It was super easy to do and much cheaper than ones you find online or in stores (plus, you can make it whatever color you want).

And, yes, those shoes are almost impossible to walk in...but aren't they so fabulous? :)

Giyongchy

snapback, necklace, top, shades - Romwe
jeans and black bracelets - h&m
shoes - DC
pink bracelet - Edge of Urge

I tried something a little bit on the sporty side today.  I forgot how comfy these DC shoes are.  And, if you haven't figured it out yet, I'm in love with this spiked snapback cap from Romwe.  I wear it all the time!  It adds just the right amount of "badass" to any outfit.  I also bought this top from Romwe, but when I tried it on it was very small so I had to cut it.  I made the armholes on the larger side so I could just wear a sports bra or bralette underneath it.  Hope you enjoy!

First of all, I'm gonna apologize for the quality of these photos. They were taken with a phone...I am so in love with these these boots. I found them at the thrift shop and they are such an amazing find. I stole my fiancĂ©'s shirt for this one. I love Nirvana and he has a ton of Nirvana/Kurt Cobain shirts. I hope you have a fantastic day!!

Lady and the Horse

I've been absolutely obsessed with this hat lately.  I got it at Forever 21 so long ago and I kind of forgot about it, but I'm so glad I found it again.  It goes with just about everything and makes any outfit look more pulled together and more chic. I also love pairing girly skirts with edgy tops.
